Segways safaris - R265 Per Person

Off-road segway tours are guided. It is a lot of fun and the Segway moves forward by balancing yourself, leaning forward to move forward and leaning back to stop. Helmets must be worn at all times. Bushveld safari – 2hr activity.

Barge Cruises R255 Per Person

Cruise along the banks of the Vaalkop Dam either early morning with coffee or late afternoon with a cocktail. The dam offers a wide variety of bird species for your viewing pleasure.

Canoeing - R105 Per Person

A recreational activity involving paddling a canoe with a double bladed paddle. Accompanied by a guide. Life Jackets must be worn at all times.

Game Drives - R295 Per Person

Experience the bush as it awakens early in the morning or late afternoon. Animals to view are waterbuck, zebra, impala, nyala, kudu, wildebeest, red hartebeest, gemsbok, giraffe,

Bush Walks - R85 Per Person

A bush walk does not have to be guided as we have no dangerous game. It is however, suggested to book a ranger for a walk to show you the smaller, more interesting things in the bush
which you can only experience on foot. It’s a great activity for photography and bird watching. Guided – 1hr walk

Mountain Biking - Free

The property is 450 hectares and have 23km of roads that can thrill any mountain bike enthusiast. A map of the property is available at reception. Please bring your own bike.

Clay Pigeon Shooting - R 395 Per Person

The sport of Clay Pigeon Shooting involves using a shotgun to shoot at and break a circular flying target made from a fragile material.

The accommodation at Finfoot is outstanding. Up to 50 guests can be accommodated in shared units. Archery
Archery is a sport of precision and concentration. The guides will show you how best to use the power generated by the bow. Hitting bull’s eye is a rewarding feeling.

Birding Safaris
Take your binoculars and camera to spot some of the more than 300 bird species in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The large raptors are fascinating, but the detail and colour of the smaller species are no less intriguing.

Photographic Safaris
Capture images of the beauty of the park and the wildlife, including the Big 5 during a game drive with the help of your rangers and guides.

Quad Bike
This is a great way to traverse rough surfaces. Quad bike tours are accompanied by expert guides and are suitable even for the complete novice.

Hot Air Balloon
Experiencing the Pilanesberg National Park in a hot air balloon is an incredibly tranquil experience. Experience no turbulence and the only noise you will hear is the occasional firing of the burner.

• Travel along the N4 and take the R556 exit to Sun City.
• From the gate of Sun City continue travelling in the direction of Rustenburg for approximately 4 km on the R556. 
• At the 4 way stop street, turn right and travel approximately 30km on the R565 where you will find the entrance of Black Rhino Game Reserve on your right hand side. 
• It is a tar road all the way to the entrance of the Reserve. 
• On arrival at the Black Rhino Reserve gate, please state that you are staying at Lodge Number 15 – Tambuti Lodge.

Black Rhino is a private game reserve, incorporated into the Pilanesberg National Park on the North Western side. This lower lying reserve’s sweet veld vegetation complements the Pilanesberg’s predominantly mixed sour veld. This type of habitat is known to carry a wide variety of game species and sightings of elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard. There are over 350 bird species present. The reserve has its own private entrance on the Western side of the reserve.

The reserve is characterized by huge numbers of Tambuti trees and therefore we have regular sightings of the shy and scarce black rhino. These trees also play host to an incredibly wide variety of bird species thus making the area a birding paradise.

4x4 Game Drives

We pride ourselves on presenting wildlife interaction that is sure to be the highlight of your stay. The game drives are daily and our experienced ranger will take you on a memorable trip introducing you to the tracks, movements, sights and sounds which give you a peak into the secrets of the African bush – guests can expect to encounter a diverse range of animal and bird species on our game drives. Children are permitted on drives at the discretion of the game ranger. The Pilanesberg is situated in the transition zone between the Kalahari and Lowveld, making it exceptional for spotting all kinds of wildlife. The ecology of the national park is unlike any other in the country, and almost every animal native to South Africa is found here.

Pilanesberg National Park

The Pilanesberg National Park is 55 000 Hectares in extent and borders on the Sun City entertainment complex. The most remarkable feature of this destination is the 1200 million-year old volcano crater with Mankwe Lake in the centre. Because of its positioning between the Kalahari and Lowveld, the vegetation from both areas are located on this terrain. The Pilanesberg National Park is native to all species of animals that naturally occur in this region of South Africa including the big five, wild dog, and rarer species such as Brown Hyena, Tsessebe and Aardwolf. The Park also offers a number of picnic spots, numerous hides for game watching, a walk in aviary, safari game drives and hot air balloon flights over the park.

Tambuti Lodge consists of five luxury chalets all fitted with contemporary elegance and quality furnishings. Surrounded by striking Tambuti Trees, all the suites offer bush views and privacy, each air-conditioned with en-suite bathroom equipped with twin hand basins, bath, indoor and outdoor showers, separate toilet, complete with a private patio.

• The lodge cannot accommodate early check ins. Please ensure that your transport to and from the lodge is arranged timeously to coincide with our check-in and check-out times.

Deposit Policy

For all bookings made within 30 days of travel
Full payment Is required within 48 hours of your booking.

For all bookings made more than 30 days of travel
A 50% deposit Is required within 48 hours of your booking and the balance 30 days prior to arrival.

Payment can be made via bank transfer, credit card (Master/Visa) or bitcoin.

Cancellation Policy

• 50% cancellation fee if cancelled 30 days and less prior to arrival.
• 75% cancellation fee if cancelled 14 days and less prior to arrival.
• 100% cancellation fee if cancelled 7 days and less prior to arrival, or no show.
• All reservations, amendments or cancellations are valid only if advised and accepted in writing.

No Show

• Non-arrivals will be subject to 100% of the rate for the entire period of the reservation
